I love what you're able to do when you get in a cyberpunk mode! Wish I could've listened to these tracks years ago while I'd been reading William Gibson - the two would've paired very nicely together. :D

zybor responds:

we are coming closer to post-modern/cyberpunk era than we know. in fact i think we are already living in William Gibson and Phillip K. Dick worlds!

thank you for your review, backwardecho!

Very lovely piece!^^ Composed in just a half hour?! I'm amazed at what you can accomplish in such a short time-frame! Well, it's the competition's loss that you were unable to submit this fine work. :P

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Sometimes when inspiration hits, I can compose with lightning speed. Other times, I'm Sluggy Mac Slugface, but it's alright either way :)
Making music is usually pretty fun, after all ;)

Thank you for listening! :DDD

I feel no matter how realistic synthetic piano sounds get, they'll never match the real deal, so I really appreciate that here :) It's a thoughtful piece, maybe could use a bit more build but there's lots of potential! Hope to hear more in future.^^

Hikari responds:

haha yeah, I have something I want to share that isn't just a garbage improvisation. Thank you for listening. (this is prity much shitpost btw, check out water stage or something <3 )

I love all the layers you've presented here! Everything weaves together seamlessly, and you always gather such an interesting choice of notes/melodies! Voice and choir are my weakness, so I was happy to hear that in your music. :D

zybor responds:

thank you for your review, backwardecho!

i think i overused the vocal library Studio Sopranos haha. one reason is because it loads quicker than any other choir libraries, secondly im too lazy to master it. there is another choir lib i used here, which is quite old but still great. does the job well too. nice Slavic choir that doesn't need much work to mix.

thank you again! :)

I hate that you are going through these sorrows, I really wish things were better for you... but I'm glad that you are expressing yourself here. Please keep letting us know how you're doing!

You've become a composing machine! I didn't think I could be in further shock - I listened to this beautiful song earlier this week but was pretty much rendered speechless. I've never known of anyone who can pour out so much brilliant material like this! Please continue for our grateful ears! :)

zybor responds:

thank you so much for your review! :)

have a good weekend!

Oh wow, this is great! I love the intensity here and how the song travels from one thing to another (and I couldn’t predict any of what you produced!) while maintaining a fluid continuity. Gorgeous track!

Mattashi responds:

Thanks a lot! :)

It takes a seriously cool woman to toss cowbell into a song, although at first I had trouble detecting it and was about to go all Christopher Walken on ya. This track is super fun in many ways and I know for sure I'll be giving it repeat listens!

Quarl responds:

Aws, thanks BwE. I was listening to Absent Tree Star earlier today but couldn't finish a proper review because I kept getting to the end like "damn it... what's this awkward ending?" The track was super potent, keep going with it :D

The words you wrote moved me though. My mom commit suicide a number of years ago. I'm still very fortunate that my dad is a huge positive force in my life. I'm sorry it sounded to me like your on your own at the moment? I'm sure you have friends and others that are filling the void. Right? I hope you're ok. Details worry me. Thanks for the feedback Bwe!

edit: wasn't aware you were 32. Regardless, I hope life is treating you well. It's not fair when life takes anyone down a peg. I'm sorry about your dad.

You’re very talented to be able to hop from one feel of mood to another in your work!^^ I would personally struggle in any attempt to compose jazz, but you’ve pulled it off very well here and I truly like this! It has a cheerful bounce to it, very bright and uplifting. Halfway in, I was imagining this would work great for an anime too, though it seems you have plans for it. In any case, nicely done! :)

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thank you! :3

Jazz definitely takes a slightly different mindset to compose, but I do think you could do it too if you put your mind to it. It has gotten a bit easier, since I played the piano for a while in a big band! :D
I love anime music, so it's no surprise if every once in a while my compositions could fit in one as well...

Thanks again for the nice words ^ ^

This is pretty cool! :) Tags/title aside, I could see this working nicely for quite a few various things, including background for a suspense detective film. It gives off a sleek thinking atmosphere, at least for me, and I'm always a sucker for industrial components. Great job!^^

Bertn1991 responds:

Hmm, that's an interesting way to look at it. I like that. Thank you so much for a thoughtful review. Glad you enjoyed it ^____^

Was taken to Bok Tower the other day for anniversary.. beautiful gardens, and this giant tower of singing bells. Throughout, there's a quote displayed - 'make you the world a bit better or more beautiful because you have lived in it.' No doubt, your existence and the music you produce accomplish this. One who feels can't help but be irked by the world around you, though.

I have some catching up to do with your songs, and started here. Loving the industrial elements and energy you've thrown into this. I'm hearing a lot of focus in your work, everything is sounding very polished! There's a great drive throughout - always loving the drum work you produce! I don't know if I can say your music has progressed to higher levels, because you're music has always been awesome to me, but I think I will say it. ^_^

Thank you very much for your review!

I think the minimal lifestyle on the street has taught me an extraordinary lesson, that even when you are in a darkest corner, there will always have light reach it. Life can be minimal, simple and material-less, yet you could find joys out of it. Yes, yes there are grieves in my heart, I grieve my late parents. Then I have to deal with being productive from whatever days left of my leukemia. When you are dying, you gotta be very wise with your time. And here I am, like a stray dog on the street with no direction.

But again, I found joy in life. Doing what I love. Music and art. As I mentioned in the past, I don't need fame. I could rebuild popularity quick and steady, over and over again many times. I don't care if I had a relevant name. All I care is good friends like you and many on here who enjoy, analyze and critique my work. They are the people I respect. I don't see people as mere fans, I see them as friends. And music is the best way of communication.

Thank you again for your awesome review!
