I love how this turned out! Your style is definitely all your own, wonderfully unique.

Phonometrologist responds:

Thank you backwardecho. Wouldn't have existed without you.

I rate this a 5/6 since your impressive vocals are absent. :P But seriously - my absolute favorite song of yours so far; just jaw dropping, full of life, resplendent work!

SoundChris responds:

Thank you very much backwardecho for your kindness :)

This is definitely transporting as well as a refreshing, original take on a classic feel! Lots of interesting and fun elements come together within the brevity of the song. I'm hoping you go 'weird' again in the future so our ears can benefit from the creative endeavor. :D

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

It's nice to hear you liked it!
I did indeed combine a fair amount of different things. That's why it's good to do stuff a bit out of my comfort zone. It also happens because I get bored if I do the same things every time, so I try to see what else I can put together with the tools I have at my disposal >:D

Thank you for listening, and for reviewing :3

P.S. I'll definitely go weird again, haha

I'm always amazed at those who can create a track longer than 5 minutes; I suppose it's a special talent of patience in crafting. :) Also really allows the listener time to get immersed in the mood and acclimate to the world being composed. Beautiful piece you've got here!! I love the ebb and wane and overall structure! Can't wait to hear more. ;)

Enzer0 responds:

Glad you enjoyed it man! Thanks for taking time to comment.

Just wanted to pop in and say that I'm loving this Save the Princess album of yours! :D I haven't fully listened to all of it yet, but what I've heard thus far is so much fun! I'm probably gonna listen to the entire list of tracks whilst I'm engaged in something that isn't as fun - like the dishes and folding laundry, bleh! ^_^

Mattashi responds:

Thank you Lindsey! :)

I really like this.^^ It's relaxing but sleek at the same time. Great combo for an atmospheric track!

larrynachos responds:

Thank you!

If I ever listen to a song of yours that I don't find to be absolutely wonderful, my first thought will be - someone hacked LucidShadowDreamer's NG. xD Another fine work of musical art here! I just realized that no matter what inspiration/mood you create from, I can always hear brightness in your compositions. That in itself is quite a talent. :)

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thank you for the lovely words ^ ^
I'm glad you find my stuff to sound pleasant :)
I'm sure I've posted some pretty bad music here and there though, haha. I also have a few darker pieces, but I try to vary the emotions in most of my compositions, because I tend to like the comlpex aspect of what feelings music can evoke :D

I'm glad you decided to explore FiF further! I could listen to this music on a daily. I love the components you meld together, it also seems that your work continues to delve into a spiral of visceral and intuitive sounds, and I'm a happy gal to be able to hear it!^^

Thank you for remembering about my dad and asking about him. Not everyone bothers to go out of their way with such things, so wanted to let you know I really appreciate that! <3

zybor responds:

Thank you very much for your review and support! :D

Whhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa, I didn't even know you could sing!!! :O Well, you're quite good at it!! And now I'm hoping you'll include your voice in songs further down the road, unless I missed a track or two that also contains your vocals here?

I might have to zerobomb you (totally won't) for the 'its not flawless' comment - a statement comparable to a heavier girl's skinny friend saying, 'I need to go on a diet and lose 3 kg' :P

Thanks for sharing!^^

SoundChris responds:

Hey there :) Well "can" probably is too much. Lets just say i tried it :D I never posted any singing track on NG so far. To be honest i havent sung for many, many years. Maybe i will write some opera stuff and perform it with a girl - dont know. I also thought of singing a barber shop quartet all alone lol. I just found these tracks of mine singing, playing piano and violin and thought: why not post them. I really was asked quite often if i ever played an instrument etc.

Btw - 3kg less also would be good in my case :D I have done quite much sport lately to get in shape again after my myocarditis that i had in 2015 - 2016. Now that i have recovered again and got the permission to do sports i am very happy to be more active again!

Thanks for your kind review and see ya soon!

IMHO, this is one of your most gorgeous use of vocals yet! The intro itself paints such a strong scene - I think it is my favorite of all your works thus far. There's also a shorter melody I really like which plays more introvertedly throughout the song. How do you keep producing better and better material?!?!?! :O It's just pouring out of you. Btw, I keep wanting to express my woe that you are eating McChicken.

On a side thought, I find freedom to be an interesting thing. I think the world would be far better were it free of oppression, whether direct or subtle/manipulative, but were mankind altogether free of a healthy conscience, the world would be its scariest yet. I think the ideal environment comes from knowing what to keep bound to and what to be freed of.

Can't wait to hear your next piece! :D

zybor responds:

Thank you for your review! :)

perhaps not in the old days, but with this current age and time, freedom and liberty for mankind isn't difficult to achieve. i might sound of like a nut job anarchist, which i am btw, but abolishing hierarchies of all form should guarantee this goal becomes achievable. it doesn't make a different if it was capitalism or state socialism. because removing authority is what should have happened.

i would love to say we should also think about abolishing the oppression of all animals, however, this is quite unachievable since: 1) i was chomping on a chicken burger 2) as someone with indigenous bloodline becoming a vegan is very offensive to the way of life of the First Nations. but there is no ethical consumption under capitalism. so until we could create nutritions that doesn't come from animals, we have to depend on animal's meats.

i am powerless alone against the machine of this system which have marauded millions of lives around the world. but as a collective we are powerful enough to make the magic happens. to not just change or reform, but to abolish the system and build a mutual global community for everyone. it is up to us to stand up for our generation and the next ones.

i often refer my music to be a form of agitprop, aka agitation propaganda. not the bullcrap that US and co have been spewing by referring to state socialist stuff, but in literal form of art spread with political or social awareness. as stated in one of my post, the music here are a culture jamming, by taking mainstream software, style and genre, then turning them into direct messages of power to spread among people. this is agitprop.

sorry for the rants...

thank you for your support very much! wish the best for your father! take care!
